FACE TO FACE PERSONAL STYLIST CERTIFICATION COURSE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Enrolment & Security: A deposit or full payment is required to secure your place in the Professional Styling Academy (PSA) Personal Stylist Certification course. A student’s position in the course is not officially secured until the enrolment process is complete and the required funds have cleared into the PSA bank account.
2. Two-Day Cooling Off Period: We offer a guaranteed full refund if you change your mind within two (2) days of booking.

Cancellation within this period must be completed via telephone.

If the expiry falls on a weekend, the final day for cancellation is moved to the following Monday.

After this 2-day period, you will be subject to the cancellation fees outlined in Clause 7.

Note: This cooling-off period does not apply to bookings made within 14 days of the course start date.
3. Access to Training: Students will not be permitted to commence the course unless the full course fee has been cleared or the student has an approved, signed Payment Agreement in place for the remaining balance.
4. Payment Deadlines & Late Bookings: The balance of all course fees must be paid to PSA at least 28 days (4 weeks) prior to the course start date.

Late Booking Rule: For any enrolment made within 28 days of the course start date, only “Payment in Full” is available at the Standard Course Investment of $4,700.

Failure to comply with agreed payment terms may result in the loss of your secured place and the application of cancellation fees.
5. Payment Arrangements & PSA Discretion: All payment plans are managed directly by PSA. Any enrolment under the “Secure & Save” or “Flexi-Start” tiers is subject to the following:

Standard payment plans must be finalised and the total balance cleared no later than 28 days (4 weeks) prior to the course commencement date.

The offer of a payment plan is at the absolute discretion of PSA Management. PSA reserves the right to offer custom payment structures or extended terms for late-stage enrolments to facilitate course capacity; however, such arrangements are considered private variations and do not waive the standard terms for other applicants.

Any variation to the standard payment deadlines must be confirmed in writing by PSA Management and documented within the student’s HubSpot record.
6. Course Transfers: Transfers of course dates are permitted with at least one month’s written notice.

The applicant is entitled to one (1) change of date, which must occur within 12 months of the original cancellation.

If a new date is not booked within 12 months, the booking is cancelled and all monies paid are forfeited.
7. Cancellations & Refunds: Cancellations are subject to the following schedule:

i) 28+ Days Prior: Full refund of monies paid, less a $400 administration/cancellation fee.

ii) 14 to 28 Days Prior: Eligible for a 50% refund of total course fees. Transfers requested during this window are subject to a $250 late transfer fee.

iii) 14 Days or Less Prior: Result in a 90% cancellation fee of the full course price. No transfers are permitted.

iv) Subsequent Cancellations: If a student cancels or transfers after having already moved from a previous date, the deposit is forfeited regardless of the notice period.

v) Pandemic Isolation: If government health directives require a student to isolate, we will transfer the student to the next available date without fee or loss of deposit upon receipt of a valid medical certificate.
8. PSA Discretion & Facilitation: PSA reserves the right to cancel any course at its discretion. In such cases, fees will be transferred to an alternative date or refunded if no date is available within 12 months. PSA also reserves the right to change the course facilitator due to illness or unforeseen circumstances.
9. Force Majeure: Fees are not refundable if the course is interrupted or cancelled due to an act of God, government health directive, or terrorist act. PSA will endeavour to provide alternative arrangements for students to complete their studies.
10. Recordings & Privacy: No audio/video recordings or photos are to be taken during the course without prior written authorisation.
11. Intellectual Property & Materials: PSA provides proprietary manuals, templates, and worksheets (“Materials”).

PSA authorises each student one copy for personal use.

Materials may not be copied, shared, distributed, or modified.

Breach of these terms terminates authorised use and may result in legal action.
12. Debt Collection: Should an account be referred to a collection agency or lawyer, the student is liable for all associated legal demand and collection costs.
13. Non-Disparagement & Feedback: The student agrees to refer any concerns to PSA and allow a reasonable opportunity for rectification before making any public or negative social media statements. Unresolved disparagement that does not constitute genuine feedback under Australian Consumer Law may result in a liability for loss of damage to the PSA brand.
14. Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by the law of the State of Victoria, Australia. You agree that Melbourne, Australia, is the exclusive venue for any disputes.
15. In-House Payment Management: PSA in-house payment agreements are bound by the terms listed in the specific payment schedule and these Terms & Conditions.

All PSA Payment Agreements are managed via direct debit through our secure payment providers.

By enrolling, the student authorises PSA to deduct monthly instalments as per the selected investment tier.

To secure a position in a preferred course date, any required payment plan documentation must be completed within 7 days of booking, or within 24 hours if the booking is made within the 28-day window prior to course commencement.

Failure to complete documentation or maintain cleared funds for scheduled instalments may result in the student being moved to a future course date.
Online personal stylist course terms and conditions and terms of use
1. Introduction: 1.1 These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the website, online training platforms, and courses (collectively, the “Site”) provided by The Professional Styling Academy (PSA). 1.2 By accessing the Site or enrolling in any PSA online course, you (“the User” or “the Student”) agree to be bound by these Terms, which form a legally binding agreement between you and PSA. 1.3 If you do not agree to these Terms, you must cease using the Site and must not purchase any courses.
2. Intellectual Property and Use of Site: 2.1 All materials, including but not limited to text, videos, quizzes, tests, and articles (“the Materials”), are the exclusive property of PSA and are protected by Australian and international copyright and trademark laws. 2.2 PSA authorises the User a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Materials for personal educational purposes only. 2.3 Users may download or print one (1) copy of the Materials for personal use, provided no modifications are made and all copyright notices are retained. 2.4 Users are strictly prohibited from: (a) Reproducing, sharing, distributing, or selling the Materials; (b) Summarising or revealing the contents of the Materials to any third party; (c) Modifying or creating derivative works from the Materials. 2.5 Any breach of this clause will result in the immediate termination of access without refund and PSA reserves the right to seek compensation under national and international laws.
3. User Warranty and Account Security: 3.1 The User warrants that they are enrolling for personal professional development and are not an agent, employee, or representative of a competing styling education provider seeking to replicate PSA’s business model or Materials. 3.2 Access credentials (username and password) are strictly personal. You must not share your login details with any third party. 3.3 PSA monitors IP addresses and login activity. If PSA detects unauthorised account sharing, we reserve the right to cancel the account immediately. In such cases, the User will not be entitled to any refund or compensation.
4. Enrolment and Payment Terms: 4.1 PSA reserves the right to accept or decline any enrolment for any reason, including errors in pricing or course descriptions. If an enrolment is declined after payment, a full refund will be issued. 4.2 Course fees grant the Student access to the Materials for a period of 12 months from the date of enrolment. Extensions may be purchased at PSA’s current prevailing rates. 4.3 Access to course Materials will not be granted until the full course fee or the first instalment of an approved payment plan has been received. 4.4 Payment Plans: If you choose a payment plan, you authorise PSA to automatically process payments on the scheduled dates. You must ensure sufficient funds are available. PSA reserves the right to re-attempt declined payments. 4.5 Late Payments: You must provide at least three (3) business days’ notice to request a change to a payment schedule. Overdue accounts may be referred to a collection agency. You agree to indemnify PSA for all reasonable costs incurred in recovering overdue debt, including legal fees and collection agency commissions.
5. Refund and Cancellation Policy: 5.1 Change of Mind: Please consider your enrolment with care. In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, PSA is not obligated to provide a refund for “change of mind,” changes in personal circumstances, or a failure to use the Materials. 5.2 Consumer Guarantees: Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a refund or credit for a major failure of the service. 5.3 Certification: Certificates of Completion are only issued once all modules are finished and the required passing marks are achieved. No refunds will be granted based on a Student’s inability to pass the assessments.
6. Limitation of Liability: 7.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), PSA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Site or the Materials. 7.2 PSA does not warrant that the Site will be error-free or uninterrupted. Users assume all responsibility for any required servicing or repair of equipment used to access the Site. 7.3 Where liability cannot be excluded by law, PSA’s liability is limited to the resupply of the services or the cost of resupplying the services (i.e., the course fee paid).
8. Governing Law: 8.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
9. Amendments: 9.1 PSA reserves the right to update these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the Site following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Advanced Course
Advanced Course – Minimum Numbers: 6.1 The Advanced Course requires a minimum of two (2) to four (4) participants to proceed. 6.2 PSA reserves the right to postpone scheduled dates if minimum numbers are not met or due to participant cancellations. 6.3 In the event of a postponement, PSA will work with all enrolled participants to find a mutually agreeable future date. If a course is postponed for a period exceeding six (6) months, the Student may request a credit or refund.
